FairEntry Instructions
Registration is OPEN for ALL MARKET ANIMALS until Thursday, April 30 at 11:59 PM. There are NO tag-in fees this year. You will be registering for BOTH MARKET AND SHOWMANSHIP!! Forms MUST be submitted by Thursday, April 30 at 11:59 PM. SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW OR FOLLOW THE STEP-BY-STEP VIDEOS FOR 4-H OR FFA.

*Please note- All family members must be completed on one invoice for simplicity. You will also include all entries for each individual. If you submit your invoice before all entries/exhibitors are added, then you will be unable to add any more.
1. Sign in to Fair Entry. If you are FFA, you either already have a Fair Entry accounty OR you must make a new one. If you are 4-H, you will sign in with your 4-HOnline account. If you are 4-H AND FFA, please sign in with your 4-HOnline account.
2. Register an individual.
3. Create an exhibitor if you are FFA. If you are 4-H, your exhibitors should already be loaded in. Please select one.
4. Answer questions. Press continue.
5. Review exhibitor information and questions. Continue to entries.
6. Add Entry. Select Species. Select "Market *Animal*". Click choose. Select the market class. Press continue.
7. Add Animal, Enter a New Animal Record (or select choose an existing animal record if you are inputting in a family animal with an animal that is already registered), Select Animal Type from Dropdown. List Animal Name. Please use an actual name. Click the green button. Press continue.
8. Add another entry. Change the division to showmanship. Select choose.
9. Choose the correct showmanship class. This goes by age as of January 1! Please note we also have novice classes. If you child has never shown in that species before, select the novice class that aligns with their age. Press continue.
10. Go back to entries.
11. Review Entry/complete outstanding records. If the entry is a family animal, do not forget to add to all exhibitors.
12. You can then add another entry (including family animal) and repeat steps 4-9 OR can register another family member OR you can continue to payment. DO NOT CONTINUE TO PAYMENT UNTIL ALL ENTRIES FOR EVERY FAMILY MEMBER IS ADDED!!
13. Continue once all are entered to payment. Your payment will be $0, but you must still go through the steps.
14. Agree to statement and SUBMIT.

Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance is about to begin! Time Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please head to go.osu.edu/meigsqa and register by the deadline of Wednesday, April 15th.
Who is required to attend QA? If you are taking a MARKET LIVESTOCK PROJECT or a PRODUCTION ANIMAL (Egg-producing chickens, Dairy Cattle, and Dairy Goats) then you are required to attend. Horse QA is required for all horse exhibitors INCLUDING ROPING EXHIBITORS. Other market livestock exhibitors MAY come to Horse QA if the other QA times do not work for you.

Skillathon
The Meigs County Fair Skillathon will take place Thursday, July 16 during Livestock Project Review.
Age divisions (age as of Jan. 1 of current year) for Skillathon: Junior 8-10 years, Intermediate 11-13 years, Senior 14+ years.
This study guide describes each station included in the specific species skillathon. Skillathons are for all 4-H youth, regardless of what project they are registered for.
Skillathons will be conducted in the following areas: Beef, Sheep, Swine, Poultry, Rabbits, Goats, Horses, and Dairy.
Station 1 and Station 2 will be the same for all exhibitors. Station 1 is registration and Station 2 is a Quality Assurance question that is randomly selected from the list below. These questions are selected based on the three GPPs for the year. Please see questions and answers below.
- What are two ways to properly dispose of your manure?
- Ways to properly dispose of your animal's manure may include spreading manure to the ground for crop production, composting that you can use to fertilize your yard/garden/etc., or trash.
- What are two action steps to take if your animal has diarrhea?
- Action steps to take if your animal has diarrhea include ensuring access to fresh water, consider adding probiotics which can be found at TSC and local feed mills, only self-treat for 24 hours then consult your veterinarian as symptoms can get bad rapidly
- What is a probiotic why do you use it?
- A probiotic is often used when dealing with diarrhea caused by stress, antibiotic use, or inflammatory bowel disease, it puts beneficial bacteria back into their gut to help them digest, probiotics are available in powder form to be added to water, drenched, or an oral gel/paste.
