  1. The USDA Summer Food Service Program

    The USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was established to fill the gap when children lose access to meals when schools are closed. Most often this occurs during summer vacation. However, during school closures related to the pandemic, meals are also being made available. You have the opportunity to supplement the food you have at home with meals and snacks for your children from local schools and community organizations.

    The Meigs County Extension Office now has a Drop Box on the outside of the building. If you need to leave something after the end of day you can put it in our locked drop box. No money please.

     


    •New Volunteer Applications will be due by December 1st – This will have everyone ready in time for Volunteer Trainings.

     


    •Early Bird Volunteer Training. We will be hosting an Early BirdTraining on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00pm. During this training only, we will be offering Project Books at $1 off the regular price.

  5. 2018 Quality Assurance Training

    Mandatory - Animal Qualilty Assurance Training

     

    All 4-H and FFA members who will be exhibiting animals at the Meigs County Fair, with the exception of those enrolled in dog, horse and small animal (gerbils, hamsters, cats, etc.) projects must attend one Quality Assurance class by the June 1, 2018 deadline. Youth with any rabbit or poultry project must attend. This includes market, pet and fancy.

  6. 4-H Enrollments

    4-H Enrollments for 2018 will be due April 2, 2018 to the Meigs County Extension Office.  Please see more information at:

  7. Pesticide & Fertilizer Recertification Training

    If your Private Pesticide Applicator's certification expires on March 31, 2020 or 2021. You must have attended and signed in for at least 3 hours of pesticide re-certification classes prior to March 31, 2020 or 21, whichever is appliable. You may receive a request for a $30.00 fee from the Ohio Department of Agriculture. This fee must be paid to Ohio Department of Agriculture before they will reissue your three year certification.

  8. Shop 4-H

    Recently National 4-H Council introduced the "Shop 4-H Affiliate Program."  Through this program we have the opportunity to receive a 5% commission reward when customers make a purchase with 30 days of using our referral link.  The Ohio 4-H Foundation requested a link for Ohio 4-H programs to use on county websites and social media pages.  So if you are planning to make a purchase at the National 4-H Council Shop, follow this link and 5% of what you spend will return to Ohio, and help us make the best, better!
